SALTERIO MUSIC 6 - Florido Ubaldi, Sonata g.

€14.90

It was an incredible fortune to discover twelve new Sonatas by Florido Ubaldi during my doctoral research. The most famous salterio virtuoso of the eighteenth century fully understood how to exploit and even push the technical and compositional possibilities of the salterio to its limits. He often treats the salterio not only as a melodic instrument but also as a contrapuntal one, which poses new challenges for the performer. This vivid e-minor sonata, however, features the salterio as a melody instrument only. Both battuto and pizzicato (finger or plectrum) performances are possible. The second movement, in particular, is an inviting piece for pizzicato beginners.
